Engineering capabilities

Kenz-Figee provides a wide range of safety and operational features, including explosion proofing, constant tensioning of hoist wires, automatic boom load centering, man-riding and high reliability diesel-hydraulic and electric-hydraulic power units.

Exemplary for Kenz-Figee's special engineering capabilities, is the Active Heave Compensation (AHC)system that can be applied for both subsea and above water duties. For subsea applications, the system can be used to safely install equipment up to 400 t in 3,000 metres water depth from a support vessel or an FPSO. The AHC system entirely compensates all vertical excursions, to a maximum of 12 metres, that result from the ship's roll, heave and pitch motions.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
• - Active Heave Compensation (AHC)- compensates excursions resulting from platform's or vessel's motions so that (i.e.subsea)loads maintain their relative position to the seabed;
- Shock Absorber -double acting hydraulic pre-tensioned cylinder on the crane's boom reduces impacts on crane and load during lift;
- Man-riding;
- Boom Load Centering System -prevents sidelead angles during supply vessel offoading;
- Traction winches;
- BOP cranes;
- Crane Information System (PLC based information/diagnostics system).
